Dave Ryan: "Manor now a stronger team"

After a tough year from an economic point of view that prevented them from designing a new car to compete in the 2015 season, Dave Ryan, sporting director Manor team ensures that go all out this season 2016 with the support of Mercedes and enthusiasm two new pilots, Pascal Wehrlein and Rio Haryanto.
Ryan admits that the goal is to be higher at the end of the races taking advantage of the collaboration of Mercedes and development of the new car, so that they can significantly improve the results obtained in last season 2015, very difficult for the Manor team year.


"We just want to compete. Of course we'd get points but we want to do everything better know how and with the help of the resources we have. Be nice to be in a position where you really become a part of Formula 1, "said Ryan.

With the work done during the preseason, where they were first put on track the new MRT05 and also without too many problems of reliability, Ryan is able to confirm the proper functioning of the new team, although he admits they still have much work ahead .
"To be honest, the whole team is knackered as it is now when we are working as a team. There is still much work to do, but we have made many changes. We are not where we would like, but at least we are well and look forward to starting the season in Melbourne. It will be a very difficult season, because there are many races and cars being so far there is not much to do between races. I'm sure the boys will have enough free time because they are within their rights. I think we can deal with this season, time will tell, "says the coach.
Nevertheless, in Manor they are aware that there are rivals like Haas, McLaren or Renault, but Ryan is not playing by the hasty predictions.
